A Micropile is a little-diameter (generally lower than twelve inches), drilled and grouted substitute pile that ordinarily is strengthened. A micropile is built by drilling a borehole, positioning reinforcement, and grouting the opening. Micropiles can endure axial and/or lateral loads, and should be viewed as a substitute for regular piles
